No No-Hitter
Roger Clemens has never thrown a no-hitter in his career. He tried to make a bid for one tonight, going 5 1/3 before David Ortiz puts a ball into the upper deck just inside the foul pole. Roger had walked four, and he's only struck out two tonight, but the Yankees lead 3-1 in the top of the sixth.

And that shot was a mammoth. I've watched a lot of Yankee games, but rarely see 'em hit into the upper deck like that.
Big Papi, he is the man. Too bad Manny is not playing tonight. Sox are threatening and just ran headcase Farnsworth out of the game. Let's go Redsox.

Watching the game, I thought it was clear he wasn't going to throw a no-hitter well before he gave up the hit. His command was lousy and with his pitch count he probably wouldn't have gone past 7.
It's funny how sometimes when a guy hasn't given up a hit, you get the feeling that it's not going to happen.
