Dicey Pitch Counts
WasWatching has Terry Francona's response to Scott Boras wanting Dice-K's pitch count lowered. It's perfect. I think a minor reason the Red Sox wanted Matsuzaka was that he showed he could endure high pitch counts. Having someone who is capable of throwing 120 pitches in a game is a big plus.
