Getting Up for the Game
Alex Belth points out an excellent article in the New York Times on how a ban on greenies might change baseball.
Rather than seeking replacements for amphetamines, some baseball people have prescribed increased rest.
"You can't be out in those bars with any regularity anymore because you ain't got help now," said Ron Washington, the third-base coach for the Athletics.
Payton said, "Guys who are 25 are going to have to treat themselves like they're 35."
Getting a good night's sleep? What a concept!

I'd like to see the percentage of players with ADD Meds prior to last season, this season and next. It should have some significant movement.
Ritalin can spin your wheels just as good as glass of Red Juice or Cross Tops. It's also known somewhat as the speed of choice in the Hockey world.
I agree Brian. Expect the majority of players to swap into, or at least experiment with, replacement substances. There are options, over the counter and prescription.
