Joe Down
The Cubs continue to suffer injuries to their pitching staff. This time, it's closer Joe Borowski:
Chicago Cubs closer Joe Borowski will be out three to four weeks after suffering a hairline crack in his right wrist while fielding a comebacker Monday, The Chicago Tribune reported.
Borowski, who missed the final four months of the 2004 season, won't likely see big league action until mid-May.
Hawkins was having a much better spring, striking out 9 in 8 1/3 innings while walking none. You would think he'd do fine in the closer role, but his low career save percentage argues otherwise.

Who the hell is Joe Borowski anyways?
Hawkins has been on all of my fantasy teams for the past two years, and has been a solid contributor on all of them. He is still improving and will be all-star calliber this season.
If it were up to me, Borowski would be in the minors, and I would trade away Corey Patterson for a closer.
What an idiotic comment. Joe Bo belongs right where he is, in the major league. He has worked his ass off to get where his is today. Personally, I am very happy to see that he has made it, and I'm glad that he never quit when times were rough. He deserves nothing but respect. There is no doubt that he has several more quality years left.
