Rookie of the Year

It's Jason Bay and Bobby Crosby taking home the BBWA Awards for NL and AL Rookie of the Year. This differs from the IBWA, which awarded the NL Debut of the Year to Greene. However, I liked both Crosby and Bay as my #1 picks. I liked Bay's power vs. Crosby's defense.

I am outraged that Kalil Greene did not win Rookie of The Year in the National League.

I place the blame on the power of the Eastern Media. I can see no way that Bay was better than Greene, nor that he meant more to the Pirates than Greene did to the Padres.

I'm okay with Bay winning, but it should have been a lot closer than it was.

reggie,

home runs will beat defense every time when it come to awards.

and remember that this is the first time pitt has had a roy - padres have had 2

I don't understand why so many people consider Khalil Greene the worthier choice. Bay had a .907 OPS and Greene had a .795. How much defense can make up for a .112 difference in OPS?
