Still No Hits

Through two innings, Ted Lilly allowed one walk but no hits. That's eleven straight innings without a hit for the Astros. They did pick up a hit in the last inning they played against the Pirates, an infield single by Castillo. The Cubs lead 1-0, batting in the third.

Update: Houston goes down 1-2-3 in the third.

Update: Houston batters ground out, pop out and fly out in the fourth. Can the Cubs post back to back no hitters? Lilly faced the minimum so far as Berkman walked but was caught stealing.

Update: Houston and Cincinnati were involved in back-to-back no hitters in 1969. On April 30, Jim Maloney no hit the Astros, then on May 1, Don Wilson no-hit the Reds.

Update: Edmonds homers in the fifth to extend the lead to 2-0. Lilly picks up a hit in the inning, matching Zambrano's total from last night. That's Cubs pitchers 2 hits, Astros 0.
