Games of the Day
The Astros and Cubs finish their series in Milwaukee with an afternoon game. Ted Lilly face Brian Moehler as Houston tries to get a hit. Richard Justice blasts both Bud Selig and Drayton McLane for moving the games to Milwaukee. Moehler pitched very well against the Cubs this season, allowing a 2.12 ERA in three starts. Lilly is almost as good with a 2.19 ERA against the Astros.
The Red Sox and Rays begin their last head-to-head series of the regular season. Scott Kazmir hosts Daisuke Matsuzaka. Boston has yet to win in Tampa Bay this season. Matsuzaka is undefeated on the road, however, going 7-0 with a 2.67 ERA. Kazmir is close to unbeatable at home with a 7-1 record and a 2.10 ERA.
Dontrelle Willis makes his first appearance since June as he takes on the Rangers and Brandon McCarthy. Willis's minor league performance this year doesn't give me a lot of hope that he's over his wildness. He walked 25 in 56 1/3 innings. Lefties are hitting .300 against McCarthy, righties, .200, so splitting the difference his overall BA and OBA are good.
Enjoy!
Correction: Astros play the Cubs, not the Brewers.

Richard Justice is a jerk. A few years ago he embarrassed himself with a racist rant against white players on the Astros. He also prematurely buried the Astros in 2005, when they only went to the World Series.
I guess he would have preferred that the games be played in San Francisco before 300 people. Zambrano would still have won, of course.
Richard Justice is 100% correct. That was a home game for the Cubs with the bush league Cub fans chanting "Astros suck"; never mind the fact that some of these players may have lost their homes because a natural disaster.
Also, can you get it right? Is it too much to get the details correct??? The Astros didn't play the Brewers yesterday. They haven't faced each other since late July.

The Brewers are playing in Milwaukee today also? That will make for a busy clubhouse.
They could have played that game on Mars, and Zambrano would have own. Blaming the fans for the Astros' loss is Justice's usual idiocy.
And tempting as it may be, don't hit the "Post" button twice.
Freudian slip on the keyboard. I should have typed "won" instead of "own." But Zambrano would have owned the Astros in Houston, Chicago, Milwaukee, Singapore, or Alpha Centauri.
that's funny, as I recall he didn't do to well at wrigley the last time he pitched against the astros.
In 2004, a hurricane hit south florida postponing a marlins/cubs series. MLB rescheduled the games in September causing a situation where the Cubs played like 35 consecutive days (I'd have to look that up, but that is close). The last week of 2004, the Cubs just ran out of gas and gave up their Wild Card lead to.......the Astros.
Fast forward to 2008, Richard Justice is whining about this? Did he whine in 2004 for the road-weary Cubs his hometown team was chasing?
Justice, sack up. The games HAD to be played in a place with a roof to insure the reschedules games werent, themselves, rained out. Milwaukee was a perfect choice.
I would hardly say perfect

If Zambrano had brought that same kind of stuff to his last start against the Astros at Wrigley, he would have won easy.
I didn't read Justice bitching when MLB forced the Marlins to play the Expos in Chicago in 2004 because of Hurricane Ivan, and I don't recall him bitching when MLB forced the Indians to play the Angels in Milwaukee because of snow.
Justice continues to be a loudmouth who knows not of what he speaks.
