A Little Clubhouse Tension
There's still no word on what caused Manny Ramirez and Kevin Youkilis to go after each other in the dugout last night. I don't think it was a bad thing, however. My two favorite dynasties, the Oakland A's and New York Yankees of the 1970s had this sort of thing happen often. Players don't need to love each other to play well

I seem to remember that there were past fights between these teams at Tropicana and thta Manny was thrown at by Tampa pitchers and benches emptied.
Perhaps Youkilis reminded Manny that the other players went out there for him and he shouldn't be the last guy out when someone else is involved?
Oh god no, the chemistry is ruined. RUIIIINED.
Here is the Boston Globe's take:
According to three sources, Manny had raised objections to Youkilis throwing equipment around in the dugout after flying deep to center in the fourth inning, and advised him to "cut that (expletive) out. Youkilis apparently didn't take kindly to the remark, said something, and Manny swiped at him.
Good for Manny - all the whining and bitching and throwing stuuf doesn't change any umps calls or turn any outs into hits.
