Will Torre Take Him In?
Peter Abraham does reports bad news concerning Willie Randolph:
Willie Randolph may not last the weekend as manager of the Mets. The question at this point may not be whether he goes, it's who they can find to replace him.
I'd say Davey Johnson, but I don't think he'll take a job until after the Olympics. Maybe Ken Macha deserves another chance.

Macha would be a horrible choice. He completely lost all the veterans on the the A's, who basically mutinied against him, and the last thing the Mets need is another guy who can't help the clubhouse culture. Try someone who can actually bring in some new ideas and positivity.
Try a general manager who doesn't overpay for aging veterans.
