Lowell Lain Low
Mike Lowell went on the disabled list with a thumb injury:
Red Sox third baseman Mike Lowell has been placed on the 15-day DL with a sprained left thumb. Jed Lowrie has been recalled from Pawtucket.
Hitters always seem to get set back by hand and wrist injuries. They heal, but it takes them a while to get their stroke back.
