Turn up the Noise!
Dugout Central relays a great story they heard John Franco talk about on radio. Bobby Valentine used the noise from the planes flying over Shea to assist in picking off runners at second. It's a good example of how Valentine could be a very clever manager.
Correction: Sorry, I wrote Julio but I meant John.

Dugout Central says its John NOT Julio Franco.

Not sure that actually helped though. If you're on base and you don't react to a pickoff until your coach yells "back!", you're probably picked off anyways. Still a great story.
I wish there were more hidden ball plays and the like. Probably not fun if you're watching at the ballpark, but for Sportscenter bloopers and such, it's pretty great.
I'm glad the Mets have at least gotten some use out of their idiotic stadium location.
The V was a genius, always exploiting an edge. He had very limited people skills, alas. Watching Willie fumble in game maneuvers makes one wonder...
anais, curious, why do you hate the location? Yanks are far worse unless you are a bronx local. Bennie Blanco digs that ride, few other fans. Mets have LIRR, the 7, and multiple parkways. Not to mention the float up approach.
