Rangers Rotation

Lone Star ball notes the Rangers rotation is set. He also shows the injured Brandon McCarthy has team spirit:

"He doesn't pitch scared, and he knows what he's doing," Millwood said of Mendoza. "It's nice to see a young guy step in there and look like he belongs. I wouldn't want to be the guy waiting on him to mess up because I don't think he will."

Said McCarthy, ostensibly the guy who would be waiting on Mendoza: "I'm fully expecting when he gets to the big leagues that he's not going back. I hope he makes it tougher than hell for me to get my spot back."

The Rangers starters were soft last year. McCarthy understands the importance of getting better pitchers into the rotation.

That's the bad news, what's the good news?

The Tampa Rays will win a WS before the Lone Star Losers do. That's what happens when you steal a team from a city whose team stole another team's identity because that city's team moved to Minnesota and thought no one would notice only to have the present "Commish" try and contract them, when he himself stole another city's team and moved them to Arnold's Drive-In and hoped no one would notice and forever forget the Seattle Pilots. The Texas Rangers....talk about jumping the shark. How do you incorporate irregular angles into a ballpark that's in the middle of a prairie. I'm sure they are working on the bronze statue of Bump Wills as we speak.

Sorry Ranger fans....I couldn't resist.
