I'm helping out my friends at Deadspin with the following photo (click for a larger image):

Dana Jacobson

Dana Jacobson swigs vodka as she roasts Mike and Mike as ESPN Radio Talk Show Host Mike Greenberg & Mike Golic were Roasted by Comedians, Former and Current Players, Coaches and other ESPN Radio personalties at The House of Blues in Atlantic City New Jersey on Friday January 11, 2008. Her profanity laden remarks and off-color jokes about Notre Dame resulted in disciplinary action with ESPN.

Update: The Big Lead has another photo from the event and more commentary.

Update: A commentator at Deadspin asks if I'm the Pinto from Animal House. Trey Wingo, pictured behind Dana above, thought the same thing. One day, he walks into the research office at ESPN, comes up to me and asks, "Why do they call you Pinto?" There's a big smile on his face, waiting to hear the story of my nickname. With an annoyed look I say, "Because that's my name." Trey was very apologetic, and in fact was one of the nicest people to work with at ESPN.

"off-color jokes about Notre Dame"

Are thre any other kind?

Did she forget she was working at the roast, or is this the way she normally preps for shows?

Bad things always happen when business and pleasure collide. Although I think she's paid the price already, with pictures now floating around she's got no chance of saving her job.

So, if you're speaking at a roast, you should avoid profanity and off-color remarks? I have been gravely misinformed regarding the nature of a "roast".

Interesting that the caption says that she was suspended for vulgar comments against Notre Dame... what a joke. She said, "Fuck Jesus!" - THAT's why she got suspended... nothing like good ole fashion media filtering...

Actually, there is an article today by a reporter who was there, he says she never said that.

Geez, does anyone else think that she will be 'taking time off' to deal with an alcohol problem?

I don't see the big deal over what she said, but swigging from the bottle didn't help that 'bad things you shouldn't say in public' filter.
