Baking the Royals

As well as Cole Hamels pitched tonight, Scott Baker pitched better. He also went eight innings, but allowed just two hits and no walks while striking out seven. He worked efficiently, throwing 99 pitches, 70 for strikes. He's walked five in May, June and July, but in 16 2/3, 22 1/3 and 40 1/3 innings respectively. He's becoming a typical Twins no walks pitcher, and that's good news.
