All-Star OK
Hideki Okajima's 0.88 ERA impresses the fans and gets the Red Sox reliever a spot on the All-Star team as he wins the voting for the 32nd man. I haven't heard who won the NL vote.
Okajima has been the best setup man in the AL this year. I feel as though Bonderman received a raw deal though - in my opinion, he's more deserving than Verlander, 100 mile per hour heat or not.
Okajima has been a stud all year in relief. As a die-hard Sox fan, I'm happy he got in.
Anyone consider that Okajima won thanks to the ability of voters/fans in Japan being able to vote over the internet?
Why Okajima wasn't a shoe in, I'll never know. He's not only pitched great but he's on a high profile 1st place team. The all-star selecting is really getting on my nerves this year.
