Red Sox Win

The Red Sox take today's game 7-2, sweeping the Angels in the three game series. It would be an understatement to say Boston pummeled LAnaheim. The combined score of the three games favored the Red Sox 25-3. The road trip so far mirrored their opening home stand. The Angels finished that set of games 5-2, scoring 28 runs to their opponents 16. On the road so far they are 1-5, getting outscored 37-15.

Not only that, but three games on that road trip were in a "neutral park." This is why they need stop being the Los Angeles California Angels of Anaheim California, which is near Los Angeles.

Does anybody else see the Patriot Day Game as the biggest home field advantage game times in all of baseball? Especially putting a West Coast team in the game (and at the tail end of a fairly long road trip). It seems unfair and the Angels performance only strengthens my opinion.

Well, the Angels did fare better today than in the other two games of the series. They were blanked in game one, scored a single run in game two, and plated two runs today. Maybe if they started really early -- say, 6 a.m. or so -- they'd win.

Oh cry me a river, Nate. It was the last game of the series, they've been in Boston since Friday, and were in Cleveland (well...Milwaukee) before that. Not like this was a huge time change issue.
