Garza's Great

Matt Garza just finished his fifth inning of work in relief of the injured Liriano. He's allowed just one run while giving up seven hits and striking out three. It's the only run of the game. Right now, he needs some help from the Minnesota offense, who have managed just one hit and one walk against Dan Haren.

Update: Morneau makes a huge base running blunder in the bottom of the seventh. Cuddyer singles, and Morneau follow with a single of his own into right center. Mike easily goes to third, but Justin tries to stretch his hit into a double and is thrown out by a mile. Instead of a sacrifice fly tying the game, the Twins need a hit or a bad pitch by Haren.

Update: Hunter grounds out to Haren to end the inning. It's still 1-0 Athletics.
