Ut, Ut, and Away!
Chase Utley homers on a 3-1 count with two out in the tenth to walk off with a 3-2 Philadelphia win. The Phillies stay 1/2 game ahead of the victorious Marlins in the wild card race. With two MVP candidates on the right side of the Philies infield, you'd think the team would be doing better in the playoff race. It was Utley's 25th homer of the season, and he's now slugging .520.

If Chase or Howard could pitch, then the Phillies might actually be doing better.
The other Tom G is right, pitching is what has kept the Phils near .500 all season.
They've done better than expected after Tom Gordon got hurt. The Phils were 14-8 without their closer. Some tough losses in the last week from the bullpen.
Utley and Howard are fun to watch. So is Victorino. Soon, no one will pitch to Howard. He has no true protection.
