Here Come the Angels
The LAnaheim Angels kept the winning streak alive last night, taking their seventh victory in a row and 12th of their last 13. As usual during this streak, they won big, defeating the Indians 10-5. Dustin Mosely made a poor major league debut, allowing four runs in five innings, along with 10 hits. But it wasn't as bad as Westbrook's start, as Jake lasted just 3 2/3 innings as the Angels scored seven runs off the starter.
Orlando Cabrera batted third last night and homered, driving in two. He's batted third regularly since 6/27. Mike Scioscia sometimes does things that make me cringe. Orlando Cabrera, no matter how hot he might have been earlier in the year, is not a number three hitter. He's not even a 1 or 2 hitter. But Mike moves Orlando the the three spot, his batting numbers go down, but the Angels start winning (13-4 since the move). Of course, Scioscia might be taking the lineup analysis tool, that shows the number three slot isn't the place for your best hitters.
