Wells to Miss Start

David Wells tested his knee yesterday, and the results were such that the Red Sox scratched him from his Wednesday start. Boston is undecided as to what they will do:

Francona was also kidded that perhaps the choice would be Roger Clemens, but he laughed that off.

Newsday is reporting that Clemens has re-signed with the Astros at $3.5 million per month.

But both the team and Clemens' agent are denying the report.
