Brew Crew Bash
Carlos Lee raises his home run total to 12 with a two-run shot, and Koskie doubles in another run as the Brewers jump on Hennessey for three in the first inning and take a 3-0 lead on San Francisco. Lee's been very consistent hitting homers over the last three seasons, getting 31 or 32 in about 600 at bats. His pace right now would double that amount.

It could have nothing to do with Lee's impending free agency now could it?
Good point. Another two points: Lee hit .209 in April in 05. He's been around the league now, so he had no adjustment period like last year. Also, Nelson Cruz is going to possibly re-create the Overbay/Fielder debate from last offseason. Lee is the force on this squad and he maybe wants to make a statement that he wants to see this team win.
Or, maybe he's just building his stock.
