Burnitz a Buc
It's official, the Pittsburgh Pirates inked Burnitz.
Update: The article linked above changed from the one I read earlier today. That article indicated it was a done deal. This one goes back on that. Sorry for the confusion.
When I checked the Orioles depth chart a few minutes ago CBS actually had Burnitz playing in Baltimore. Oops.
HA! Wishful thinking. Now hopefully the Orioles and Red Sox will get this Manny/Miggy trade finalised ASAP. The yearly trade requests from Manny are beginning to get pretty tiresome. I say let him go. Bring in somebody who wants to play for the team. Somebody that won't stroll to 1B on every grounder.
How is this more official than the articles about the O's signing Burnitz? I only see "closing in on deal" on that link and see nothing on the Pirates website or anywhere else announcing the signing.
