	Gumby is Still Available

I thought Pokey Reese might be a solution to the Red Sox hole at shortstop, but the Florida Marlins signed him. Reese can't hit, but he had a good glove at short, so at least he could have provided the Sox with some defense. He'll be flashing the leather in Miami, instead.

Maybe the Sox still think they can get Tejada or Lugo......

I hope the Sox are sufficiently familiar with Resse's injury record and lack of offense to not have considered him for a starting SS job... :-)
Btw, David, what about a Graffanino/Loretta middle IF for the Sox? Graffanino has a very respectable .869 ZR at SS over 608 innings, including 231 innings in '03.

I'm glad the Sox passed on Pokey this time around. His durability seems to be my biggest concern...well his bat is pretty sub-par too.
Hope he does well though. If the Tejada/Manny deal could somehow be worked out I think the Sox winter woes could be greatly alleviated. We'l see on that though, who knows he'll prob. be playing first for the NYY somehow next year! :)

Sox could steal Cintron away from Dbacks a decent switch-hitter with some pop can also play 3b/2b

remeber when the reds would not trade pookie for griffey jr?
seems like a billion years ago
