Okay, fine he doesn't start. I can buy that. But you still owe him $5 million over two years. Seems like a lot to pay a defensive replacement to me, but hey, the Cubs aren't supposed to be poor.
Not that any of this bothers me. To the contrary, Neifi The Cub fills me with glee, as I am both a Cards fan and a sadist.
