If He Lives that Long
The Giants extended Felipe Alou's contract through the 2006 season, with an option for 2007. I guess they think he makes the players on the team feel young.

Doesn't Felipe Alou kind of look like a dark-skinned Mike Holmgren...if Holmgren lost about 5,650 1/2 pounds?

I don't think it's a bad move, per se, but the option for 2007 is what I'm doubting. I mean, what kind of team will the Giants have by then? That sounds an awful lot like the 1st year of the Rebuilding Project to me...
