Angels had men on 2nd and 3rd with 0 out when David Eckstein hits a ball to 2nd. Anderson broke late, Scutaro made a good throw home, but the umpire called Anderson safe. I thought he was out originally, and the replay did nothing to change my mind. Molina then hits a liner that just goes off the glove of Kotsay in center. After a double play, the Angels are up 3-0 on the A's.

Update: They're hitting Mulder hard. Figgins just sent one over Kotsay's head for his 17th triple of the year. Erstad drives him in with a drag bunt with two out.

Update: Mulder is out. Blanton is on to start the third inning against the Angels. The vaunted Athletics trio has fallen apart in this stretch run.
