Penny for Your Arm
Brad Penny had to leave the Dodgers game in the fourth due to his arm not holding up. He threw a pitch and waved that he had to come out of the game. SD is leading 4-0 at this point, and the Giants are ahead 2-1. The NL West is heading for a wild finish.

Awww crap, the Dodgers are in complete freefall mode. Ross Porter, in his broadcast actually mentioned a meaningful statistic: since mid-August, Dodger starters' ERA has been above 6. "Quality Start" is another pretty lame statistic, but it's the sort of thing the Dodgers have been seeing very little of lately. At this point, precisely zero of the Dodger starting pitchers can be depended upon.

Not a bad performance by Jake Peavy either...
Are people FINALLY starting to figure out what that "controversial trade" was about?? The Dodgers bullpen is FINE. Their lineup isn't bad at all. Their starting pitching is just plain brutal. A healthy Brad Penny would have made a huge difference. A great trade by DePo, and just lousy luck.
