In your excellent "Historical Baseball Abstract," the section reviewing third basemen gives noticeably short shrift to Graig Nettles. While I grew up detesting the Yankees, what I saw of Nettles seemed to deserve a word or two more than he's been given, and I've been wondering why.
Can you tell me?
