Left Out
I'm watching the Padres-Cubs game, and the Padres have started Ryan Klesko in left field. It's been pretty ugly out there. He missed a short pop. Balls are ricocheting around him. And finally, a long fly was hit to the wall. Klesko went back, but had no idea where the ball would come down. Kingsdale, the centerfielder, came all the way over to left to jump and save a HR. If Klesko is going to be a regular in left, the CF is going to have to do a lot of work to take some pressure off Ryan.

klesko did look pretty bad out there. given that the wind was swirling and all. i don't remember him being that bad before. but isn't it great to have baseball on sunday afternoons?

During Yankee broadcasts, Ken Singleton has said that it's not completely fair to judge outfield play in the spring because the stadiums are lower and less enclosed, so there's far more wind and sun messing with the fielders. Just something to consider.
As a Padres fan, I'm hoping for another Nevin injury and put Klesko back at first.
