The Other Injury

Cubs f/x implies that doctors missed Mark Prior's real injury for five years:

Prior's anterior capsule was torn away from the humerus, the bone in the upper arm. Team physicians Heinz Hoenecke and Jan Fronek performed the surgery and said the second injury is normally associated with traumatic events like a fall.

Prior fell on his right shoulder in a collision with Marcus Giles in 2003. Maybe Mark has a chance to come back after all.

Leave it to the bloggers to start spreading information they know nothing about.

Next thing you'll be telling us that Ned Yost is on the chopping block. For the tenth time, without any facts...LOL

How about posting Prior's stats for 2003 following that fall. He took a month off, and then went like 10-1, while throwing like 120 pitches per start. He sure didn't look like someone who had a torn anterior capsule, but what do I know?

Cub fans would never blog about Cub-MVP, Ned Yost, being on the chopping block. Without him, the 2007 division championship wouldn't have been possible. Many thought that it would be hard for Yost to back-up his 2007 performance in '08, but disappoint, he did not. Coming out of Spring Training, Yost announces that his pitchers will be batting 8th. Well, that's what we call a statement. Yost means business, he wants to win Cubs MVP two years in a row.
