The Rangers beat the Mariners 12-3 Sunday afternoon. That’s the 16th time this season Texas scored at least ten runs in a game. That’s twice as many as any other team in baseball. Both the Cubs and Rays scored at least ten runs eight times.

Given their high scoring games it’s not surprising that the Rangers also own the highest run difference in the majors, outscoring opponents 376-224, a 152 run difference. The Rays are a bit back at 122. No other team is close to these top two. The Braves came into today +60, but their game is still in progress.

Great teams win big, and these two teams have that mark of greatness.
