Paul Goldschmidt of the Cardinals doubles in five trips to the plate to stay atop the Baseball Musings Batter Rankings. The Cubs take the game 7-5. Mookie Betts of the Dodgers closes the gap a bit as he goes two for four as the Dodgers beat the Mets 2-0. Betts now trails Goldschmidt by 18 points.

Ty France of the Mariners takes a big 0 for 5 but stays in the top five. Seattle beats Baltimore in an exciting game, 7-6 in ten innings. Jose Ramirez and the Guardians did not play on Thursday, and he remains in fourth place.

Bryce Harper of the Phillies moves back into the top five despite a day off as well. Pete Alonso of the Mets goes 0 for 4 with three K to drop to sixth place.

The best game score on Thursday belongs to Travis d’Arnaud of the Braves, an 81. He goes three for five with two home runs and six RBI as the Braves win 13-6 in Colorado. d’Arnaud does a poor job of getting on base this season, but his power remains good as he slugs .454 with a .262 BA.
