Random Evil Player

I invented the Random Evil Player program many years ago to help Topps in their numbering system. This is a way for me to have a little fun reviewing 2021 players.

The evil player program picked Joey Krehbiel as today’s subject. While Krehbiel may be an evil enough name, his walk rate of 5.6 per nine innings makes him a sinister right-hander. Despite the same strikeout rate, he allowed just six hits in 11 1/3 innings, so his nefarious plan may be working.

He did allow a low hit rate in the minors with a high walk rate. His high minor league K rate has not translated to the major leagues, however, likely the reason he only collected eleven MLB innings after ten season in the minor leagues.
