On the pitching side, the six Dodgers hurlers recorded just six strike outs, but the defense held as the Giants recorded just seven hits. Neither team was very clutch, as the Giants went 1 for 8 with runners in scoring position, and the Dodgers 1 for 11. The Dodgers had two sacrifice flies, and two home runs with a man on first.

The Dodgers and Giants played each other evenly all season. It seems appropriate that this series would go down to a game five.
