Shutout Monday

After all the high scoring games last week, Monday night saw four shutouts tossed by teams. Masahiro Tanaka pitched a gem, going the distance against the Rays as the Yankees won 3-0. He allowed two hits and one walk while striking out ten. Joey Lucchesi and Rick Porcello pitched short shutouts, each going seven innings as San Diego beat Milwaukee 2-0, and Boston beat Minnesota 2-0. Miles Mikolas tossed six shutout innings as the Cardinals downed Miami 5-0. Four other starters allowed no more than one run in at least six innings as well.
