The Jackson 14

Edwin Jackson set a major league record today by pitching for his fourteenth team. He allowed three runs, two earned in five innings for the Blue Jays as Toronto fell to San Francisco 4-3.

It’s a dubious record. You’re good enough to stick around, but not good enough that any particular team wants to keep you for a long time. Jackson came up on his 20th birthday in 2003, so playing for 14 teams in 17 seasons is quite amazing. He’s played for eight different teams since the start of the 2015 season. The only team he played for twice is Washington.
