The Cubs put two batters on in the bottom of the eighth inning, but do not score. They lead the Dodgers 3-2 going to the top of the ninth. They need three outs without a run to assure they will play on Thursday.

Update: Cody Bellinger hits into a double play. The Cubs win 3-2 and will play another elimination game tomorrow night at 8 PM EDT. Three runs on three home runs as all the Cubs runs in the series have come on homers. The Cubs pitchers bent but did not break as they walked eight batters but struck out 12. Despite the base runners, they held the Dodgers to 0 for 3 with runners in scoring position.
