The Braves beat the Dodgers 12-3 Friday night, hanging the first loss of the season on Alex Wood and pushing his ERA up to 2.17. Not only did Wood allow nine runs, but four of the game on a grand slam by the opposing pitcher, Jaime Garcia. It was the third home run of Garcia’s career and his first grand slam. Wood also dropped a pop-up by Garcia that led to two unearned runs.
