Games of the Day

Wow. There are no good pitching match-ups today. The closest might be Jeremy Hellickson against Randall Delgado as the Phillies take on the Diamondbacks. Hellickson struck out just 38 batters in 84 innings, with just 25 walks. Amazingly, with all the balls in play, he allowed just 85 hits. Delgado owns a 3.48 ERA thanks to his great control. He walked just nine batters in 51 2/3 innings.

The Rockies try to salvage a bit of their tough NL West week. The lost four in a row, and four out of five to their division rivals the Diamondbacks and the Dodgers, dropping them from first to third in the division. The Dodgers won nine in a row, and might be prepared to pull away from the pack.

Enjoy!
