Cubs Win the NL Pennant

The Cubs beat the Dodgers 5-0, and win the NLCS four games to two to advance to the World Series.

This is the World Series I wanted to see. The teams with the longest World Series droughts face off. Theo Epstein tries to break the second big drought of his career. Terry Francona tries to break the second big drought of his career. Joe Maddon and Francona know each other well given all the times they face each other as managers of the Rays and Red Sox. Coco Crisp and Ben Zobrist are there.

The Cubs looked like an all-time great team going into the season, and they won 103 games. The Indians surprised people as they finished with the second best record in AL, and Terry Francona turned bullpen usage on it’s head to win the AL Pennant. I can’t wait for this series to start.
