Hendricks Through Four

Kyle Hendricks gave up a lead-off single to start the game, removed that runner with a double play, and hasn’t allowed a base runner since. He retired 11 in a row and faced the minimum number of batters, striking out three and walking none. He is also working efficiently, throwing just 46 pitches, 33 of them for strikes. It’s been a very strong start for Hendricks so far.

The Cubs lead the Dodgers 3-0.

Correction: When I wrote this, I forgot about the error. Hendricks picked off the runner.
