Get Batters On, They Eventually Score

The Cubs had runners in scoring position all night, and constantly missed opportunities to score. In the eighth inning they break through with two infield singles with runners in scoring position, and Chicago pushes two more runs across the plate. The Cubs take a commanding 5-1 lead as they bat in the eighth, with two innings of Aroldis Chapman looming.

Update: Javier Baez hits a bases loaded double, driving in three runs, and the Cubs lead 8-1. Baez looked like he hurt himself running past second and returning, but he stays in the game. Jason Heyward pops out to end the inning, with a big lead and six outs to record to go back to Chicago leading three games to two.
