Indians Clinch

Cleveland beats Detroit 7-4 Monday night, and the last division is settled. The Indians win the Al Central as their lead goes to eight games over the Tigers.

The Indians play extremely well on both sides of the ball. They rank second in runs scored in the AL, and second in lowest runs per game in the AL. The go into the post-season, hurt however, with half the rotation out of action and Corey Kluber leaving Monday’s game with a tight groin. Still, a marvelous job by Terry Francona and the new people running the Cleveland front office. Congratulations to the Indians on their first division championship since 2007!
