It seems the Yankees are trying to break Orel Hershiser‘s consecutive scoreless innings record from the offense side. With three Yankees innings complete in Toronto, the score is 0-0. That means the Yankees have not scored in 30 consecutive innings, more than half-way to Hershier’s record. It’s a very impressive offensive fall. You would think a ball would have left the park just by chance.
The Yankees finally score in the seventh inning as Didi Gregorious hits a solo home run. That ties the game at one as Jose Bautista homered earlier. The offense of the Blue Jays hit poorly lately as well.
