Overwhelmed

I listened to most of the speeches by Mike Piazza and Ken Griffey, Jr. as I drove home from visiting my father this afternoon. While there is no crying in baseball, there appears to be plenty of crying in Hall of Fame speeches. Piazza and Griffey at times could not continue as a reminiscence caused them to choke up. The crowd was great, applauding to bring them back. It was quite an emotional afternoon, and shows how much the Hall of Fame means to these particular players.
