The Padres claimed Josmil Pinto from the Twins. Luckily, the Pinto Twins jersey still works for me.
He hit poorly in 2015 in the minors. Maybe he was hurt, but he’ll play 2016 as a 27-year-old, so if he doesn’t stick in the majors this season, he’s likely done.

A year and a half ago, when it became clear the Twins had chosen Suzuki over Pinto, I said the Twins should trade Pinto. At that time, they could’ve gotten something for him. Instead, they kept him in Rochester as insurance or something and now get only the waiver price. That’s the sort of thing the Twins have done far too much of in recent years.
