Playing Ball Again

The NCAA gets whacked in court, and Andrew Oliver can play ball again. Not only that, the court ruled:

the NCAA cannot restrict a player's right to have legal representation when negotiating a professional contract

Good. I hope more players start taking on more NCAA rules. It's time to rebel against the unnecessary regulations that make life difficult for student athletes.

Hat tip, The Hardball Times. Craig posted other links there, including this one hypothesising that the draft may be in trouble. That would be another positive outcome of this decision.

Yeah, student athletes sure do have it rough, what with the high academic standards they must meet, coupled with the burdensome student loans and part-time jobs they have to take on just to afford tuition. Not to mention being complete social outcasts.

I guess when someone's a self centered nitwit a free college education seems like something they're entitled to.
