Marshaling Forces
Bob Tufts sends me this story about US Marshals being used to transport Fox broadcasters to and from big events:
In an IG interview, the marshal who chauffeured Aikman and Buck at the Super Bowl recalled telling a colleague afterwards that he thought "the whole thing was silly" and "an inappropriate use of his time." Usually, federal marshals hunt fugitives, guard federal judges, courts, and protected witnesses, and transport prisoners.
I'm sure there are some people who would like to see Buck and McCarver in a witness protection program. :-)

Isn't the Super Bowl designated as a special event that requires Secret Service protection, with lots of federal agents protecting the thing.
I'd much rather have Fox hire private security for these guys, but if the Secret Service/US Marshals/whatnot have been given the assignment to protect that event from a terrorist attack, I won't quibble too much with how they carry it out.
Maybe this explains why Firejoemorgan.com shut down: US Marshals got them for terrorism!
