Hoffman a Brewer
The Brewers make a deal official with closer Trevor Hoffman. Hoffman's walks are still low and his strikeouts are still high. He should fill the role in Milwaukee just fine.
From the article: "The Brewers recently signed reliever Jorge Julio, but kept looking for help."
You'd think if the Brewers were familiar enough with Julio to know they needed more help, they'd be familiar enough with him not to sign him...
As a Dodger fan, I'm not too upset that the Brewers won this one. They already have a solid bullpen, and I'd rather see this season used to develop the kids there rather than for Hoffman's last years. No disrespect intended to Hoffman--he'll be a Hall of Famer in less than ten years.
