Pitching Not Hitting
Infield chatter makes the case against the Red Sox signing Mark Teixeira.
A thoroughly unconvincing and flawed argument.
They got shut down in the playoffs and have serious doubts about Papi's and JD Drew's health. If they had Texeira last year they'd have probably won the pennant if not another WS. I don't think they'll break the bank to get Tex but if not him then I think they go to plan B. I don't think Lars Anderson is going to run Tex out of town.
The idea here is that the Red Sox need pitching. Well, in the vein that every team always needs more pitching, I guess so.
However, I put forth that the Sox need pitching less than just about any team in baseball. Tex is the prize, he solidifies their lineup, he's what the Sox need.
